Terms of Service

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Wee Job (“the Service”), operated by Ben Thorne trading as Wee Job (“Wee Job”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a sole trader based in Northern Ireland. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Wee Job does

Wee Job is a booking management platform for tradespeople. It gives you a public booking page where your customers can book appointments online. We handle the scheduling, confirmation emails, and reminders — you handle the actual work.

Wee Job is a tool for managing bookings. We are not a party to any contract between you and your customers, and we have no responsibility for the quality, safety, or outcome of any work you carry out.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to operate a business in the United Kingdom to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@weejob.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must provide accurate information when setting up your account and keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts where we believe information is false or misleading.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Wee Job offers two plans:

  • Free — up to 5 bookings per calendar month at no cost.
  • Pro — unlimited bookings for £9 per month, billed monthly via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.

All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we will investigate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Conduct any unlawful activity or facilitate others to do so.
  • Collect or harvest personal data from the platform other than for the purpose of managing your own bookings.
  • Send unsolicited marketing communications to customers who have booked through your Wee Job page without their explicit consent.
  • Attempt to circumvent the booking limit on the Free plan by creating multiple accounts.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the Service.

5. Your customers’ data

When a customer books through your page, they provide personal information (name, email, phone number, and optionally an address and notes). You are the data controller for that information — you decide how it is used and you are responsible for handling it lawfully under UK GDPR.

Wee Job processes that data on your behalf, solely to deliver the booking service (confirmation emails, reminders, and calendar management). We do not use your customers’ data for our own marketing or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

As a data controller, you should ensure you are registered with the ICO and that you have a lawful basis for processing your customers’ personal data.

6. Intellectual property

Wee Job and all software, design, and content associated with it remain the property of Ben Thorne trading as Wee Job. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for the purposes described in these Terms.

Any content you upload (business name, logo, service descriptions) remains yours. You grant us a licence to display it as part of delivering the Service.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Wee Job available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, fix bugs, or add features at any time. We’ll give reasonable notice of any planned downtime that would significantly affect your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll notify you by email at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wee Job is not liable for:

  • Any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from your use of the Service.
  • Loss of business, revenue, or bookings caused by downtime or errors.
  • Any dispute between you and your customers.
  • Loss or corruption of data beyond what we can reasonably prevent.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in subscription fees during that period, or £100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay outstanding fees, or if we reasonably believe continuing the relationship poses a legal or reputational risk.

On termination, your booking data will be retained for 30 days (so you can export it) and then deleted, unless we are legally required to keep it longer.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
